About me

Introduction

In 2004 Ondrej received his Master’s degree in law from Charles University in Prague where he also passed the rigorous exam (the topic of rigorous thesis: Computer program as Employee’s work and its specifics) and received title JUDr. (Doctor of Laws) . During his practice, Ondrej enhanced his education by attending legal courses concentrated on the Anglo-American system of law at the Institute of U.S. Law in Washington, D.C.

Throughout his career Ondrej has served as an attorney-at-law for the private and public sector. He has written articles on current legal issues and has done lecturing activities on current legal issues (mainly within his specialization).

Experience

During his trainee’s experience he worked at Radvan & Co. law office in Prague where he focused on general legal agenda, primarily providing legal services in the area of civil law, commercial law and corporate law, intellectual property law and real estate law.

After passing the BAR exam in 2008 Ondrej cooperated as an attorney-at-law with the law firm PRK Partners s.r.o. where he gained significant experience in the areas of commercial and general corporate law, IT and intellectual property law, mergers and acquisitions as well as banking and finance law.

After that Ondrej cooperated for 7+ years as an attorney-at-law with the law firm MT Legal s.r.o. where he primarily focused on IT/ICT law, IP law mainly with respect to IT/ICT, contracts law, commercial and corporate law. Within MT Legal he led a team of IT/ICT law who participated in many significant IT projects within the area of e-Government in Czech republic (in total amounting to tens of billions of Czech crowns/40 million USD) and in 2013, 2014, 2015 and 2016 MT Legal was awarded recognition for IT law in Law Firm of the Year awards as a recommended law firm in the area of IT law.

From 2018 Ondrej provides legal services to clients from private and public sector in both Czech and English languages within the company Kmoch Legal, attorneys-at-law, s.r.o. (formerly as JUDr. Ondrej Kmoch, attorney at law) which especially benefits from Ondrej’s more than 13 years of experience in advocacy.

Specialization

Ondrej specializes within Kmoch Legal, attorneys-at-law, s.r.o., mainly in contract law, IT law (contracts in IT/ICT, cyber security, IoT etc.), internet law (e-commerce, marketing activities etc.), IP law mainly with respect to IT/ICT (author’s rights toSW, licenses etc.), corporate and real estate law.

Within the aforementioned areas of law Ondrej draws from many years of experience and provides his clients complex legal services which also includes providing legal services within the related areas of law (e.g. civil law, data protection, labor law aspects etc
